OUR SERVICES
Three engagements,
each with a defined purpose
We do not offer an open-ended consulting retainer. Each service is scoped, priced, and designed to produce a specific output for a specific kind of need.

How we approach every engagement
Every engagement follows the same general structure, adapted to the scope and nature of the work. We begin by agreeing in writing on what the engagement will cover and what it will produce. We then spend the active phase of the work close to the firm — through site visits, structured conversations, and review of relevant documents. The final phase is the preparation and review of the written deliverable.
We do not consider an engagement closed until the client has reviewed the draft and confirmed that it reflects their situation accurately. If it does not, we revise. This is not unusual; the first draft of a diagnostic often surfaces things that need recalibrating once the owner has had a chance to read and respond to it.
For the larger engagements, we hold regular steering sessions — monthly for the Operating Model Review — which give the client visibility into the work and the opportunity to adjust the focus if circumstances change.
Scope agreement
A short written document setting out what the engagement covers, the timeline, and the fee. Signed before any chargeable work begins.
Active phase
Site visits, structured conversations with the owner and relevant staff, and review of documents or data relevant to the engagement.
Draft and review
A draft document shared with the client for review and response. Revised as needed until both parties are satisfied.
Final delivery
The final document delivered and the engagement concluded. No retainer, no automatic follow-on.
SERVICE 01 — FOUR WEEKS — RM 660
East Malaysia SME Diagnostic
A focused engagement for small and mid-sized businesses based in Sarawak and Sabah whose owners would like a thoughtful outside reading of how the firm is doing and where the most useful effort might be placed in the coming year. Conducted over four weeks, the work involves a site visit, a structured conversation with the owner and one or two senior staff, and a short written summary of observations and considerations. The deliverable is intended to be useful inside the firm — practical, measured, and free of unnecessary detail.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES
- Site visit to the business premises
- Structured conversation with owner and up to two senior staff
- Review of key operational and financial documents (at client's discretion)
- Written summary of observations and considerations (10–15 pages)
- One round of revisions following client feedback
SERVICE 02 — TWELVE WEEKS — RM 2,300
Native Customary Land & Commercial Operations Advisory
A considered advisory for businesses operating on or alongside Native Customary Rights (NCR) land in Sarawak, where commercial decisions intersect with longstanding community arrangements. Over twelve weeks we sit with the leadership team and, with the firm's consent, with relevant community representatives, to map the current arrangement, identify where the firm's commercial intentions and the community's interests align, and prepare a written framework for the relationship going forward.
The intent is sustainable working — not legal opinion, which sits with the firm's lawyers — and the work is conducted with the patience the subject requires.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES
- Initial mapping of the current commercial-community arrangement
- Facilitated conversations with leadership team (and community, with consent)
- Identification of alignment and divergence between commercial and community interests
- Written framework for the ongoing relationship (20–30 pages)
- One round of revisions and a closing discussion with the leadership team
SERVICE 03 — FOUR MONTHS — RM 3,300
Resource-Sector Operating Model Review
A senior engagement for plantation, timber, palm oil and resource-adjacent businesses whose operating model has grown through several cycles and would benefit from a thoughtful outside review. Over four months we work with the leadership team to understand the present model, document the points where it is straining, and prepare a written redesign that respects the cyclical nature of the sector and the firm's existing workforce arrangements.
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES
- Comprehensive review of the current operating model
- Monthly steering sessions with the leadership team (four sessions)
- Documentation of points of strain and areas of inefficiency
- Written redesign proposal respecting sector cycles and workforce (30–50 pages)
- Closing presentation to the board at a time that suits the business calendar
